According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the Radeon RX 9070 GPU is faster than the Radeon RX 6900 XT in gaming.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that they both have the same amount of memory at 16 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 9070 is better than the Radeon RX 6900 XT.
