Radeon RX 6800M vs RTX A4000 comparison

For gaming, the RTX A4000 graphics card is better than the Radeon RX 6800M in our tests.

In our comparison, the Radeon RX 6800M has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 6800M also has a significantly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.

Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the RTX A4000 has slightly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 12 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.

In addition, the RTX A4000 has a slightly lower TDP at 140 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6800M at 145 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.

According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the RTX A4000 is faster than the Radeon RX 6800M.
