Radeon RX 6800M vs Radeon RX 6700M specs and performance
For gaming, the Radeon RX 6800M graphics card is better than the Radeon RX 6700M in our tests.
The Radeon RX 6800M has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the Radeon RX 6800M also has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Radeon RX 6800M has slightly more memory with 12 GiB of memory compared to 10 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the Radeon RX 6700M has a slightly lower TDP at 135 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6800M at 145 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 6800M is better than the Radeon RX 6700M.
