Radeon RX 6800 XT vs GeForce RTX 4060 Ti specs and performance
For gaming, the Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card is better than the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti in our tests.
In our comparison, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti also has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Radeon RX 6800 XT has significantly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti has a significantly lower TDP at 160 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6800 XT at 300 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the Radeon RX 6800 XT is faster than the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti.
