Radeon RX 6800 vs Radeon RX 6850M XT benchmarks
For gaming, the Radeon RX 6800 graphics card is better than the Radeon RX 6850M XT in our tests.
The Radeon RX 6850M XT has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 6850M XT also has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Radeon RX 6800 has slightly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 12 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the Radeon RX 6850M XT has a significantly lower TDP at 165 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6800 at 250 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 6800 is better than the Radeon RX 6850M XT.
