Radeon RX 6800 vs GeForce RTX 4060 Ti comparison
In our benchmarks, the Radeon RX 6800 beats the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti in gaming performance.
The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Radeon RX 6800 has significantly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti has a significantly lower TDP at 160 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6800 at 250 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the Radeon RX 6800 is faster than the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti.
