Radeon RX 6700M vs Radeon RX 6500 XT comparison
In our benchmarks, the Radeon RX 6700M beats the Radeon RX 6500 XT in gaming performance.
In our comparison, the Radeon RX 6500 XT has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the Radeon RX 6500 XT also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Radeon RX 6700M has significantly more memory with 10 GiB of memory compared to 4 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the Radeon RX 6500 XT has a slightly lower TDP at 107 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6700M at 135 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 6700M is better than the Radeon RX 6500 XT.
