Radeon RX 6700M vs GeForce RTX 3050 specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Radeon RX 6700M beats the GeForce RTX 3050 in gaming performance.

In our comparison, the GeForce RTX 3050 has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the Radeon RX 6700M has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.

Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Radeon RX 6700M has slightly more memory with 10 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.

In addition, the GeForce RTX 3050 has a slightly lower TDP at 130 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6700M at 135 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.

According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the Radeon RX 6700M is faster than the GeForce RTX 3050.
