Radeon RX 6700 vs Radeon RX 7700 XT benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the Radeon RX 7700 XT GPU is faster than the Radeon RX 6700 in gaming.
The Radeon RX 6700 has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. Despite this, the Radeon RX 7700 XT has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Radeon RX 7700 XT has slightly more memory with 12 GiB of memory compared to 10 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the Radeon RX 6700 has a slightly lower TDP at 175 W when compared to the Radeon RX 7700 XT at 245 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 7700 XT is better than the Radeon RX 6700.
