Radeon RX 6650 XT vs Radeon RX 6950 XT benchmarks
For gaming, the Radeon RX 6950 XT graphics card is better than the Radeon RX 6650 XT in our tests.
Our database shows that the Radeon RX 6650 XT has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the Radeon RX 6650 XT also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Radeon RX 6950 XT has significantly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the Radeon RX 6650 XT has a significantly lower TDP at 176 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6950 XT at 335 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 6950 XT is better than the Radeon RX 6650 XT.
