Radeon RX 6650 XT vs GeForce RTX 4070 comparison
In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 4070 beats the Radeon RX 6650 XT in gaming performance.
In our comparison, the GeForce RTX 4070 has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. Despite this, the Radeon RX 6650 XT has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the GeForce RTX 4070 has significantly more memory with 12 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the Radeon RX 6650 XT has a significantly lower TDP at 176 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 4070 at 300 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce RTX 4070 is better than the Radeon RX 6650 XT.
