Radeon RX 6600 XT vs GeForce RTX 4090 benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 4090 beats the Radeon RX 6600 XT in gaming performance.

Our database shows that the GeForce RTX 4090 has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the Radeon RX 6600 XT has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.

Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the GeForce RTX 4090 has significantly more memory with 24 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.

In addition, the Radeon RX 6600 XT has a significantly lower TDP at 160 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 4090 at 450 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the GeForce RTX 4090 over the Radeon RX 6600 XT.
