Radeon RX 6600 XT vs Arc A770 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Arc A770 beats the Radeon RX 6600 XT in gaming performance.
In our comparison, the Radeon RX 6600 XT has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 6600 XT also has a significantly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Arc A770 has significantly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the Arc A770 has a slightly lower TDP at 120 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6600 XT at 160 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Arc A770 is better than the Radeon RX 6600 XT.
