Radeon RX 6400 vs GeForce RTX 4070 specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 4070 beats the Radeon RX 6400 in gaming performance.

Our database shows that the GeForce RTX 4070 has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the GeForce RTX 4070 also has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.

In addition, the Radeon RX 6400 has a significantly lower TDP at 53 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 4070 at 300 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce RTX 4070 is better than the Radeon RX 6400.
