Radeon RX 590 vs GeForce RTX 4060 comparison
In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 4060 beats the Radeon RX 590 in gaming performance.
The GeForce RTX 4060 has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the GeForce RTX 4060 also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
In addition, the Radeon RX 590 has a slightly lower TDP at 175 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 4060 at 200 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce RTX 4060 is better than the Radeon RX 590.
