Radeon RX 580 vs GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop comparison
In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop beats the Radeon RX 580 in gaming performance.
The Radeon RX 580 has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop has a significantly lower TDP at 50 W when compared to the Radeon RX 580 at 185 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop is faster than the Radeon RX 580.
