Radeon RX 580 2048SP vs RTX A5000 Laptop benchmarks

For gaming, the RTX A5000 Laptop graphics card is better than the Radeon RX 580 2048SP in our tests.

In our comparison, the Radeon RX 580 2048SP has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. Despite this, the RTX A5000 Laptop has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.

In addition, the RTX A5000 Laptop has a slightly lower TDP at 140 W when compared to the Radeon RX 580 2048SP at 150 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the RTX A5000 Laptop is better than the Radeon RX 580 2048SP.
