Radeon RX 5700 XT vs Radeon RX 590 GME comparison
In our benchmarks, the Radeon RX 5700 XT beats the Radeon RX 590 GME in gaming performance.
In our comparison, the Radeon RX 5700 XT has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 5700 XT also has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
In addition, the Radeon RX 590 GME has a slightly lower TDP at 175 W when compared to the Radeon RX 5700 XT at 225 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 5700 XT is better than the Radeon RX 590 GME.
