Radeon RX 5700 XT vs Radeon R7 360 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Radeon RX 5700 XT beats the Radeon R7 360 in gaming performance.
The Radeon RX 5700 XT has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 5700 XT also has a significantly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Radeon RX 5700 XT has significantly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 2 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the Radeon R7 360 has a significantly lower TDP at 100 W when compared to the Radeon RX 5700 XT at 225 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the Radeon RX 5700 XT over the Radeon R7 360.
