Radeon RX 5700 XT vs GeForce RTX 2080 Ti benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti beats the Radeon RX 5700 XT in gaming performance.

Our database shows that the Radeon RX 5700 XT has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 5700 XT also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.

Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti has slightly more memory with 11 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.

In addition, the Radeon RX 5700 XT has a slightly lower TDP at 225 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti at 250 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is better than the Radeon RX 5700 XT.
