Radeon RX 5700 XT vs GeForce GTX 1080 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the Radeon RX 5700 XT GPU is faster than the GeForce GTX 1080 in gaming.
In our comparison, the GeForce GTX 1080 has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the Radeon RX 5700 XT has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
As stated by the manufacturer, they both have the same amount of memory at 8 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the GeForce GTX 1080 has a slightly lower TDP at 180 W when compared to the Radeon RX 5700 XT at 225 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the Radeon RX 5700 XT is faster than the GeForce GTX 1080.
Good info I was going to get a 1080 but then I saw a 5700xt that I liked better for a theme look as well as performance and newer sorry Nvidia still love you guys but going team red for gpu
