Radeon RX 5600M vs Radeon RX 6600 XT comparison

In our benchmarks, the Radeon RX 6600 XT beats the Radeon RX 5600M in gaming performance.

The Radeon RX 6600 XT has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the Radeon RX 6600 XT also has a significantly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.

Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Radeon RX 6600 XT has slightly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 6 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.

In addition, the Radeon RX 5600M has a slightly lower TDP at 150 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6600 XT at 160 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 6600 XT is better than the Radeon RX 5600M.
