Radeon RX 5600 XT vs Radeon RX 6700M specs and performance
For gaming, the Radeon RX 6700M graphics card is better than the Radeon RX 5600 XT in our tests.
In our comparison, the Radeon RX 6700M has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the Radeon RX 6700M also has a significantly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Radeon RX 6700M has significantly more memory with 10 GiB of memory compared to 6 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the Radeon RX 6700M has a slightly lower TDP at 135 W when compared to the Radeon RX 5600 XT at 150 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 6700M is better than the Radeon RX 5600 XT.
