Radeon RX 550X vs GeForce 930MX specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Radeon RX 550X beats the GeForce 930MX in gaming performance.

The Radeon RX 550X has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the Radeon RX 550X also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.

In addition, the GeForce 930MX has a significantly lower TDP at 17 W when compared to the Radeon RX 550X at 50 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 550X is better than the GeForce 930MX.
