Radeon RX 5500 XT vs GeForce RTX 5080 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce RTX 5080 GPU is faster than the Radeon RX 5500 XT in gaming.
The GeForce RTX 5080 has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the GeForce RTX 5080 also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the GeForce RTX 5080 has significantly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the Radeon RX 5500 XT has a significantly lower TDP at 130 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 5080 at 360 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce RTX 5080 is faster than the Radeon RX 5500 XT.
