Radeon RX 5500 XT vs GeForce RTX 4060 Ti benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti beats the Radeon RX 5500 XT in gaming performance.
In our comparison, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti also has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
As stated by the manufacturer, they both have the same amount of memory at 8 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the Radeon RX 5500 XT has a slightly lower TDP at 130 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti at 160 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is better than the Radeon RX 5500 XT.
