Radeon RX 5500 vs GeForce GTX 650 comparison

For gaming, the Radeon RX 5500 graphics card is better than the GeForce GTX 650 in our tests.

The Radeon RX 5500 has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation.

Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Radeon RX 5500 has significantly more memory with 4 GiB of memory compared to 2 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.

In addition, the GeForce GTX 650 has a significantly lower TDP at 64 W when compared to the Radeon RX 5500 at 150 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.

In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the Radeon RX 5500 over the GeForce GTX 650.
