Radeon RX 550 vs Radeon RX 550X comparison

In our benchmarks, the Radeon RX 550 beats the Radeon RX 550X in gaming performance.

Our database shows that both the Radeon RX 550 and Radeon RX 550X both have the same core clock speed. Despite this, the Radeon RX 550X has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.

Next up, in terms of GPU memory, they both have the same amount of memory at 4 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.

In addition, both the Radeon RX 550 and the Radeon RX 550X have an identical TDP. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 550 is better than the Radeon RX 550X.
