Radeon RX 550 vs Iris Xe comparison
In our benchmarks, the Iris Xe beats the Radeon RX 550 in gaming performance.
The Radeon RX 550 has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 550 also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
In addition, the Iris Xe has a significantly lower TDP at 15 W when compared to the Radeon RX 550 at 50 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the Iris Xe is faster than the Radeon RX 550.
