Radeon RX 540 vs Radeon RX 640 specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the Radeon RX 540 GPU is faster than the Radeon RX 640 in gaming.

Our database shows that the Radeon RX 540 has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the Radeon RX 640 has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.

Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that they both have the same amount of memory at 4 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.

In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the Radeon RX 540 over the Radeon RX 640.
