Radeon RX 480 vs Radeon RX 570 benchmarks

For gaming, the Radeon RX 480 graphics card is better than the Radeon RX 570 in our tests.

In our comparison, the Radeon RX 480 has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the Radeon RX 480 also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.

As stated by the manufacturer, they both have the same amount of memory at 8 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.

In addition, both the Radeon RX 480 and the Radeon RX 570 have an identical TDP. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.

In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the Radeon RX 480 over the Radeon RX 570.
