Radeon RX 480 vs Iris Xe benchmarks
For gaming, the Radeon RX 480 graphics card is better than the Iris Xe in our tests.
In our comparison, the Radeon RX 480 has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 480 also has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
In addition, the Iris Xe has a significantly lower TDP at 15 W when compared to the Radeon RX 480 at 150 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 480 is better than the Iris Xe.
