Radeon RX 480 vs GeForce RTX 4060 Ti comparison

In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti beats the Radeon RX 480 in gaming performance.

The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti also has a significantly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.

Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that they both have the same amount of memory at 8 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.

In addition, the Radeon RX 480 has a slightly lower TDP at 150 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti at 160 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
