Radeon RX 470 vs TITAN X comparison

For gaming, the TITAN X graphics card is better than the Radeon RX 470 in our tests.

The TITAN X has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation.

Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the TITAN X has significantly more memory with 12 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.

In addition, the Radeon RX 470 has a significantly lower TDP at 120 W when compared to the TITAN X at 250 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.

In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the TITAN X over the Radeon RX 470.
