Radeon RX 470 vs GeForce 940MX benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the Radeon RX 470 beats the GeForce 940MX in gaming performance.

In our comparison, the GeForce 940MX has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the GeForce 940MX also has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.

In addition, the GeForce 940MX has a significantly lower TDP at 23 W when compared to the Radeon RX 470 at 120 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the Radeon RX 470 is faster than the GeForce 940MX.
