Radeon RX 460 vs Radeon RX 5500M benchmarks
For gaming, the Radeon RX 5500M graphics card is better than the Radeon RX 460 in our tests.
The Radeon RX 5500M has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 5500M also has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, they both have the same amount of memory at 4 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the Radeon RX 460 has a slightly lower TDP at 75 W when compared to the Radeon RX 5500M at 85 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 5500M is better than the Radeon RX 460.
