Radeon R9 390X vs Radeon Vega 11 benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the Radeon Vega 11 beats the Radeon R9 390X in gaming performance.

In our comparison, the Radeon R9 390X has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the Radeon Vega 11 has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.

In addition, the Radeon Vega 11 has a significantly lower TDP at 15 W when compared to the Radeon R9 390X at 275 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the Radeon Vega 11 is faster than the Radeon R9 390X.
