Radeon R9 390 vs Radeon RX 590 GME benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Radeon RX 590 GME beats the Radeon R9 390 in gaming performance.
Our database shows that the Radeon RX 590 GME has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the Radeon RX 590 GME also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
In addition, the Radeon RX 590 GME has a significantly lower TDP at 175 W when compared to the Radeon R9 390 at 275 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 590 GME is better than the Radeon R9 390.
