Radeon R9 390 vs Quadro P4200 comparison
In our benchmarks, the Quadro P4200 beats the Radeon R9 390 in gaming performance.
Our database shows that the Quadro P4200 has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, they both have the same amount of memory at 8 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the Quadro P4200 has a significantly lower TDP at 100 W when compared to the Radeon R9 390 at 275 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Quadro P4200 is better than the Radeon R9 390.
