Radeon R9 290X vs Radeon RX 6400 comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the Radeon R9 290X GPU is faster than the Radeon RX 6400 in gaming.

As stated by the manufacturer, they both have the same amount of memory at 4 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.

In addition, the Radeon RX 6400 has a significantly lower TDP at 53 W when compared to the Radeon R9 290X at 250 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon R9 290X is better than the Radeon RX 6400.
