Radeon R9 290X vs Radeon RX 570 benchmarks

For gaming, the Radeon R9 290X graphics card is better than the Radeon RX 570 in our tests.

Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Radeon RX 570 has significantly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 4 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.

In addition, the Radeon RX 570 has a significantly lower TDP at 150 W when compared to the Radeon R9 290X at 250 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon R9 290X is better than the Radeon RX 570.
