Radeon R9 280X vs Quadro P3000 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the Radeon R9 280X GPU is faster than the Quadro P3000 in gaming.
The Quadro P3000 has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Quadro P3000 has significantly more memory with 6 GiB of memory compared to 3 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the Quadro P3000 has a significantly lower TDP at 75 W when compared to the Radeon R9 280X at 250 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon R9 280X is better than the Quadro P3000.
