Radeon R7 250 vs Iris Xe comparison

In our benchmarks, the Iris Xe beats the Radeon R7 250 in gaming performance.

Our database shows that the Radeon R7 250 has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. Despite this, the Iris Xe has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.

In addition, the Iris Xe has a significantly lower TDP at 15 W when compared to the Radeon R7 250 at 75 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Iris Xe is better than the Radeon R7 250.
