Radeon R7 240 vs Radeon HD 7670M specs and performance

For gaming, the Radeon HD 7670M graphics card is better than the Radeon R7 240 in our tests.

In our comparison, the Radeon R7 240 has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture.

As stated by the manufacturer, the Radeon R7 240 has significantly more memory with 2 GiB of memory compared to 1 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.

In addition, the Radeon HD 7670M has a significantly lower TDP at 20 W when compared to the Radeon R7 240 at 30 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon HD 7670M is better than the Radeon R7 240.
