Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q vs Radeon RX 6700 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q beats the Radeon RX 6700 in gaming performance.
In our comparison, the Radeon RX 6700 has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 6700 also has a significantly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q has significantly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 10 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q has a significantly lower TDP at 80 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6700 at 175 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q is better than the Radeon RX 6700.
