Quadro P6000 vs GeForce RTX 4070 comparison
For gaming, the GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card is better than the Quadro P6000 in our tests.
Our database shows that the GeForce RTX 4070 has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the GeForce RTX 4070 also has a significantly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Quadro P6000 has significantly more memory with 23.44 GiB of memory compared to 12 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the Quadro P6000 has a slightly lower TDP at 250 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 4070 at 300 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the GeForce RTX 4070 over the Quadro P6000.
