Quadro M5000 vs Quadro RTX 3000 Max-Q specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Quadro M5000 beats the Quadro RTX 3000 Max-Q in gaming performance.

In our comparison, the Quadro M5000 has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the Quadro RTX 3000 Max-Q has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.

As stated by the manufacturer, the Quadro M5000 has slightly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 6 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.

In addition, the Quadro RTX 3000 Max-Q has a significantly lower TDP at 60 W when compared to the Quadro M5000 at 150 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Quadro M5000 is better than the Quadro RTX 3000 Max-Q.
