PRO A10-8730B vs Core 2 Duo E7200 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the PRO A10-8730B is faster than the Core 2 Duo E7200. Despite this, the Core 2 Duo E7200 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the PRO A10-8730B has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Core 2 Duo E7200 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Core 2 Duo E7200. Our comparison shows that the Core 2 Duo E7200 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the PRO A10-8730B. In terms of cache, the Core 2 Duo E7200 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the PRO A10-8730B
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the PRO A10-8730B has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
