Phenom II X6 1100T vs Xeon X5570 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon X5570 performs better than the Phenom II X6 1100T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Phenom II X6 1100T in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Phenom II X6 1100T has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Xeon X5570 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon X5570. Our comparison shows that the Phenom II X6 1100T has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon X5570. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Phenom II X6 1100T has significantly more L2 cache than the Xeon X5570. Despite this, the Xeon X5570 has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Phenom II X6 1100T.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Phenom II X6 1100T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
