Phenom II X6 1100T vs Ryzen 7 5700X3D benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 5700X3D performs better than the Phenom II X6 1100T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Phenom II X6 1100T in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 5700X3D has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Phenom II X6 1100T that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Phenom II X6 1100T. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 5700X3D has a slightly higher clock speed than the Phenom II X6 1100T. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D has slightly more L2 cache than the Phenom II X6 1100T. The Ryzen 7 5700X3D also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Phenom II X6 1100T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
